🍵 From Tea to ParTea — A Journey Through Chinese Teas An Elegant Tasting Experience of 8 Signature Varieties Duration: 2 hours Materials Provided: Eight premium Chinese teas (black, green, oolong, white, pu-erh, and floral), individual tasting set, special asian tea snacks, and a guided tasting booklet Workshop Overview Embark on a sensory and cultural journey through the timeless art of Chinese tea. From Tea to ParTea invites you to explore the fragrance, flavor, and philosophy behind eight distinct types of tea — from the misty mountains of Yunnan to the floral gardens of Fujian. Through guided tastings and storytelling, participants will learn the proper brewing techniques, understand the energetic qualities of each tea, and discover how tea connects to mindfulness, wellness, and cultural heritage. This workshop celebrates not just the drink itself, but the ritual, community, and serenity it inspires. Class Flow & Schedule 🕐 Part I — The Culture of Tea (15 min) Welcome tea ceremony and introduction to the history of Chinese tea and its evolution through dynasties. Overview of the eight tea categories — understanding oxidation, fermentation, and regional character. Exploration of the philosophy of Cha Dao (茶道) — the Way of Tea as harmony between nature and human spirit. 🕑 Part II — Guided Tea Tasting (45 min) Experience a curated flight of eight teas in three tasting rounds, each paired with insight and reflection: Light and Pure: Green Tea (Longjing) & White Tea (Bai Mudan) — awakening freshness and clarity. Deep and Layered: Oolong (Tieguanyin) & Black Tea (Dianhong) — balance between yin and yang energies. Aged and Aromatic: Pu-erh, Dark (Hei Cha), Yellow Tea, and Floral (Chrysanthemum or Osmanthus) — grounding, meditative, and restorative qualities. Participants will learn: Proper gongfu brewing techniques How to observe color, aroma, taste, and body 🕒 Part III — Reflection & “ParTea” Social (60 min) Light bites and discussion on pairing tea with food, music, and mood Interactive tasting notes sharing — each participant describes their “tea personality” Closing toast and group photo to celebrate connection through culture and conversation Takeaway Each guest leaves with: Several Tea samples for free A tea tasting booklet for personal notes and preferences A sample selection of three teas to continue their tasting journey at home A deeper appreciation for tea as a path to mindfulness
