🀄 MAHJONG AFTER DARK Spirits, Tiles & Good Fortune What happens when Halloween enters the world of Mahjong? You get a night of lanterns, dragons, spirits, tea, Asian food, Mahjong and a little bit of mystery. Join Omaha Mahjong Club for a Halloween experience unlike a traditional costume party. Instead of witches, superheroes and lumberjacks, we're inviting you to explore the world surrounding Chinese Mahjong. COME AS: 🀄 A Mahjong tile
🐉 A mythical creature
👻 A ghost or spirit
🏮 A lucky symbol
🥟 A Chinese or Asian food
🍵 A tea master
🌸 A flower or plant
🌙 The moon
🎨 Or your own Mahjong-inspired creation Don't want to buy a costume? Don't. A white shirt can become the Blank tile (Parking ticket!).
A green outfit can become Bamboo.
A Cardboard box can become the Bird tile.
A cardboard circle can become One Dot. Creativity is the point.

EVERY GUEST will be assigned a “MAHJONG IDENTITY” at the entrance, and you need to find your Pung! At check-in, give them a little card: NAME: John 
 IDENTITY: 🐉 RED DRAGON tile (Center) MISSION: Find two other Red Dragons. Or: NAME: Emily
 IDENTITY: Bird tile MISSION: Find 2 other bird tiles in the party.

The 1st group to make a "Pung" by finding all three of a kind tiles will receive 3 prizes!

Throughout the evening, you'll discover small stories about Mahjong, Chinese symbols, folklore, tea and food—while actually having a Halloween party.

WHAT TO BRING? 1. Candies! We need a lot of them Because there will be over a thousand trick-or-treaters passing by, we really need everyone's help to bring plenty of candy to share with the kids. Let's work together to make it fun, safe, and memorable. 2. 1-2 dishes per person, we will do potluck style for food. Please bring 1 to 2 dishes to share. Asian-inspired dishes are welcome, but anything you love is fine. Come ready to share, taste, and discover.
