Culturally Accurate

The first culture to create and play Mahjong was China

Where do you play?

We have multiple locations that we play. The most common is at the clubhouse in the Jocelyn Castle neighborhood. Our other, more common place is the Mill on Leavenworth every Monday night from 7 pm to 9 pm

Do you play competitive Mahjong?

We made Omaha Mahjong Club to be more of a social club, but we do run intermediate and advanced skill nights. We also have tournaments on a monthly basis where the most competitive players can display their skillsand compete to be the best in the city.

Do I need to bring my own Mahjong tiles?

No way! We provide tile sets, all you have to do is show up and bring friends! And then tell other friends after you leave ;)

What's the difference between Chinese Mahjong and American Mahjong?

Chinese Mahjong is much easier than American Mahjong. We paid $100 per person to take a lesson that spanned 5 hours and still had questions! Not with Chinese Mahjong, that's why the game has been played and hasn't changed for hundreds of years.

I've never played before, is it beginner friendly?

Yes, we teach in a way where you'll feel confident within 20-30 minutes and be playing without thinking within a few games.
